Fenix Bennu: Large Art Print (A3)
Fenix Bennu: Large Art Print (A3)
Large Art Print based on the painting 'Fenix Bennu' by Nick Dale.
The scene depicts 2 grey herons (1 living & 1 dead) & is named after the Egyptian god Bennu, which was depicted as a heron. The god Bennu may be the origins of the phoenix legend. 'Fenix' is Anglo-Saxon for phoenix & the scene has been transposed to the East Lyn River in Devon. The blood of the dead heron is smoking where it drips on the ground; suggesting that this is indeed a phoenix and it will soon be consumed within the growing fire.
