Additional information: The scene depicts Clavell Tower (which is also known as the Clavell Folly or the Kimmeridge Tower) situated on the cliffs overlooking Kimmeridge Bay on the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. 
The tower; which was built in 1830, is seen in its current position with the original footings visible in the foreground after the tower was moved further back from the cliff edge in 2006.
